Tottenham Hotspur Foundation

We are currently working within Equality and Inclusion partnerships that focus on supporting target groups, namely, people with learning difficulties, disabled people, people who are experiencing mental health conditions and older people.

This is achieved through the role we undertake in actively supporting the equality of opportunity, inclusion and development of people within areas such as sports and physical activity, education and training, transition and volunteering and employment.

Skill sessions for all ages facing barriers to learning

The Foundation aims to provide opportunities that enhance people’s development and create life-changing experiences.

Pathways to Employment

In partnership with Waltham Forest College, the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation is offering a supported pre-employment programme for young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

This programme will offer 10-week (three hours per week) employability skills workshops and a 5-week supported work placement.

The employability skills workshops will help participants to improve social interaction, communication, leadership, health & safety, presentation skills, and health & wellbeing.

The supported work placements are in sports coaching, disability sports coaching, mentoring, admin tasks, hospitality & catering, and healthy lifestyle programmes.

Pathways to Employment - Josh's Story

23-year-old Josh has Autism and struggled to get a job before attending Pathways to Employment, a course which gives young people with disabilities the life skills to set them up for the working world, before helping them into employment.

The 10-week programme provided Josh with the confidence and attributes to successfully apply for a role at Whipps Cross Hospital, where he spent 5 weeks in a supported work placement. He now works in the Radiology Department.
