Player Season Stats

Amy James-Turner signed for us from Orlando Pride ahead of the 2022/23 season.

In her debut campaign in north London, the defender played 28 times in all competition for us, featuring in all 22 matches in the WSL, and scored her first goal for the Club in a 5-1 win over Coventry United in the Women’s League Cup in November, 2022.

She continued to be a regular in our backline in the following campaign, starting in all but one WSL game to help us to a top six finish and featured heavily in our historic run to the Women’s FA Cup Final, making an appearance in all four games in our journey.

Prior to making the switch to the NWSL, she spent three seasons at Manchester United, where she featured 67 times and helped them to achieve promotion to the WSL in their inaugural campaign.

A player with a decade of top-flight experience under her belt, Amy began her career in the youth academies at Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United before making her FA Women’s Premier League debut at just 16 years of age for Doncaster Rovers Belles.

In 2009, she left England to attend Hofstra University and made 41 appearances at centre-back for the college’s NCAA team, scoring four goals.

Spells at Leeds United and Sheffield United followed before she signed for Notts County in the WSL.

Amy hit the ground running on her return to the top level and her form was rewarded with a nomination for the PFA Women’s Young Player of the Year award in 2015.

Having represented England at Under-23 level, Amy made her senior debut from the bench against Australia in March, 2015.
