The defender made the move to Oxford United's Academy after a spell at Reading FC, where she featured regularly for their Under-16s squad while also training on numerous occasions with the senior team.
A keen motorcross rider before committing to football, Zara made her senior debut in our 2-0 win over Crystal Palace in the Women's League Cup in December, 2024, coming on as a substitute in the final minutes of the game. She was also named in the matchday squad for our WSL home clash with Leicester City in January, 2025.
For the Under-19s, the former U's player made 11 appearances in the Professional Game Academy League, scoring once and registering four assists in 2024/25.
Zara represents England at Under-17 level and in March, 2025, she captained the Young Lionesses side in their 3-2 victory over Sweden, where she also scored the opening goal for her nation.
