Jamie Donley has been included in Northern Ireland’s squad for their 2026 FIFA World Cup play-off campaign at the end of this month.

The attacking midfielder, currently on loan at Oxford United, is one of 28 players called upon by boss Michael O’Neill for their semi-final clash with Italy in Bergamo on 26 March, followed by a potential play-off final against either Wales or Bosnia-Herzegovina on 31 March for a place at this summer’s World Cup finals.

The 21-year-old, who represented both England and Northern Ireland at youth level, made his senior debut for the latter nation in March last year and currently has six senior caps to his name. On his most recent international appearance back in November, he scored the winner in a World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg.

Jamie was also on target for Oxford United in their 1-0 win over Blackburn Rovers in the Championship last week. He linked up with the U’s in January, having spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Stoke City.
