Will Lankshear scored his fourth goal of the season to set Oxford United on the way to a 2-1 win at Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship on Saturday.
Our on-loan striker, 20, was on hand in the 12th minute to head home the opening goal at Hillsborough after Cameron Brannagan’s cross had caused problems for the Owls’ defence.
It was Will’s first goal since 13 September when he netted in a 2-2 home draw with Leicester City, which was his third in four games at that point.
Brannagan later made it 2-0 before Sean Fusire pulled one back for the troubled hosts, who went into administration on Friday and were handed a 12-point deduction by the EFL.
Will completed 76 minutes before being replaced as part of a triple change.
The front man has made 12 appearances for Oxford in all competitions to date.
