Internationals | Win for Kop, Thomas' Scotland rescue late draw

Fri 28 November 2025, 22:30|Tottenham Hotspur

Lize Kop enjoyed a positive evening on her 17th cap for the Netherlands as they ran out 2-1 winners over Portugal in the friendly encounter on Friday.

Our number one, who has kept seven clean sheets in all competitions for us this term, started the clash in Braga as two goals in two minutes by Chasity Grant and Lynn Wilms gave the away side a healthy advantage by the midway point of the first half.

Portugal’s Andreia Faria halved the deficit just before the break, but the Netherlands held on in the second period to record the 2-1 victory.

Elsewhere, earlier on Friday, Martha Thomas’ Scotland netted a stoppage-time equaliser to rescue a 1-1 draw with Ukraine in a friendly clash.

Martha started and completed 57 minutes before making way for Lauren Davidson. Maria McAneny found the leveller in the sixth minute of stoppage-time to cancel out Rokoslana Kravchuk’s first half opener.

Clare Hunt was an unused substitute for Australia as they defeated New Zealand 5-0 at the Central Coast Stadium in Gosford.

Meanwhile, Signe Gaupset, who last week agreed a deal to join us on 1 January, 2026, from SK Brann, scored twice for Norway in their 3-1 win over Brazil.
