Under-18s to make history in cup tie on Saturday

Our Under-18s will face Burnley in a competitive fixture for the first time when we travel to take on the Clarets in the Under-18 Premier League Cup on Saturday morning (11am UK).
Having never before met the Lancashire outfit at Under-18 level, we go to their Barnfield Training Centre knowing that victory is vital if we’re to progress to the knockout stages of the competition.
A last-gasp Elijah Upson equaliser at home to Reading on matchday one back in August put an important first point on the board in Group H.
But with only the top team from each group advancing to the next round this season, we’ll need to be at our best as we bid to see off a side that’s currently bottom of the Under-18 Premier League’s northern division in a match postponed from the start of last month.
We’re without a host of players through injury and international duty, but Interim Under-18s Coach Joe Staunton still has plenty of talent at his disposal.
We’ll keep supporters updated during the game via our official Academy social media platforms, with a full post-match report set to be available as usual here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app after full-time.
