Yang Min-Hyeok has been named the Korean Football Association's Men's Young Player of the Year for 2024.

After an impressive first campaign in professional football in 2024 as he starred for Gangwon FC in the K League, the forward has been honoured with the Men's Young Player of the Year award for the year just gone.

Making his professional debut in his homeland at the age of 17 in March, 2024, Yang bagged an assist on that maiden appearance before getting a goal to his name in the subsequent match.

He went on to score 12 goals and provide six assists as he played every game for Gangwon in a season in which his side finished second in the Korean top flight.

Midway through that season, his move to N17 was announced. He then finished the campaign with Gangwon before joining us at the start of 2025.

Named in our matchday squad on three separate occasions since he arrived in north London, he has since moved to Championship side QPR on loan and, on Saturday, he scored his first goal in English football.

Last week, the 18-year-old was given his international debut for Korea as they earned a 1-1 draw with Jordan in Suwon.

Heung-Min Son was also honoured by his national association as he was named the Men's Player of the Year for the eighth time in his career.
