Pedro Porro played his part as Spain beat France 5-4 in a thriller on Thursday evening to book a place in the UEFA Nations League Final against Portugal on Sunday.
Spain were at their best to race into 4-0 and 5-1 leads only for France to make it all the way back to 5-4 before running out of time in Stuttgart.
Starting at right-back, Pedro, who featured in 51 of our 60 matches last season, was penalised for dragging down Kylian Mbappé in the penalty area on 59 minutes, allowing Mbappé to convert from the spot for 4-1. However, he took just eight minutes to make amends with a lovely cushioned volley pass into the path of Lamine Yamal, who buried his second of the night for 5-1.
Pedro completed a full shift and will now face Portugal in the final in Munich - kick-off 8pm UK on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Yves Bissouma's Mali lost 1-0 to DR Congo in a friendly and Heung-Min Son didn't feature as South Korea beat Iraq 2-0 in their latest match in the third round of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. They remain unbeaten after nine games and top Group B.
