Our Global Football Development (GFD) team have wrapped up a hugely successful first part of our Summer Tour in Hong Kong.

Head of GFD, Danny Mitchell, has been joined by coaches Shannon Moloney, Jimmy Martin, Matthew Sharman, Lily Jervis and Tyler Blackwood to deliver 17 sessions during our time in Hong Kong.

That included 10 sessions at the superb AIA Vitality Park, taking in 150 players aged between 5-12. There were also sessions for HSBC, the Hong Kong FA grassroots and our Hong Kong Official Supporters' Club, plus a coach education session for HKFA coaches.

Danny reflected: "It’s been an incredible few days supporting the Club’s tour of Hong Kong. We have a strong presence here already through our Spurs Football Development coaches being based here as part of the work we do with AIA, but to be here to see the impact our work is having is phenomenal.

"To see 440 players and coaches in such a short period has been intense, but the passion for the game here is clear to see.

"The energy from all the players and coaches we’ve seen has been first class and we’ve been given an amazing response everywhere we’ve been. Our hope is that we can continue to support player and coach development - and having our coaches based here allows us to do that."

All GFD sessions are tailored to give players and coaches an insight into the Club’s coaching philosophy, which is renowned for developing world class players through our own technical DNA.
