Tottenham Hotspur is the Club for animal-lovers and we use our platform to raise awareness of animal welfare and the importance of preserving nature.
For the 2025/26 season we are continuing to feature a ‘Dog of the Match’ at every home game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Members of Tottenham Hotspaw - our first-ever Official Supporters’ Club for dog lovers - have been posting pictures of their beloved pets on the group’s Facebook page for a chance for them to be featured on the stadium big screens ahead of kick-off and in the matchday programme.
Our first ‘Dog of the Match’ of the season is Dougal - pictured at the top of the page - a young German Wirehaired Pointer with a scruffy beard, boundless energy and a big heart. When he is not watching Spurs matches at home on the sofa with mum Chloe and the family, Dougal loves to chase the wildlife during long walks in the Oxfordshire countryside.
Alongside our ‘Dog of the Match’, we also profile rescue dogs currently up for adoption with All Dogs Matter - the fantastic charity partner of Tottenham Hotspaw - giving fans the chance to provide a forever home so badly needed.
This weekend, we are featuring Terry - above - a playful black labrador who loves playing football! Terry would like an active home with owners that have had dogs before, and a garden of his own to run about in. He would prefer owners who live in a semi-rural area and who are around for a large portion of the day.
