We can confirm that our Academy will face Charlton Athletic in this season’s Under-17 Premier League Cup final at Stevenage on Friday 11 April, live on SPURSPLAY.
We are the designated ‘home’ team for the showpiece match and, as such, we will host the Addicks at the Lamex Stadium, the regular home ground for our Under-21 side.
Kick-off will be at 7pm and tickets are on sale now via Stevenage’s ticketing website, priced at £5 for adults and £2 for under-18s. Tickets will also be available at the ground on the night, although fans are advised to book early to avoid disappointment. The match will also be streamed live on SPURSPLAY.
This will be the third time in four seasons that our youngsters – led by Stuart Lewis and Bradley Allen – have reached the Under-17 Premier League Cup final. We memorably beat Nottingham Forest in 2022/23 on our way to completing the Under-17 and Under-18 Premier League Cup double, while we also faced Manchester City in 2021/22 but came up short on that occasion.
We reached this year’s final after a 5-0 home victory over Derby County in the semi-finals, while the Addicks saw off Manchester United 2-1.
As a result of the scheduling of this match, our Under-18 Premier League trip to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday 12 April has been postponed, with a new date to be confirmed in due course.
In addition, our Under-21s’ home Premier League 2 fixture against Everton has been moved from Sunday 13 April to Monday 14 April, kick-off 7pm. This match will remain at Stevenage with tickets also available online now, priced as above.
Be sure to head down to the Lamex Stadium on Friday 11 and Monday 14 April to get behind our youngsters on what is set to be a big weekend for the Academy!
